Liberal Arts and Sciences Student Recognition Ceremony

Spring 2027 bachelor’s and master’s graduates are invited to attend two different types of ceremonies—the University-wide Commencement and their college’s Recognition Ceremony.

At the University-wide Commencement, all bachelor’s and master’s degrees will be conferred and there will be a guest speaker.

At the individual college Recognition Ceremonies, each graduate will have their name called as they cross the stage.

Spring 2027 Commencement Schedule

Spring Doctoral Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, April 29, 2027, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Stephen C. O’Connell Center

University-wide Commencement

Friday, April 30, 2027, at 7 p.m.
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium

Liberal Arts and Sciences Recognition Ceremonies

Sunday, May 2, 2027, at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center

All CLAS Bachelor’s Degrees in African American Studies, Anthropology, Astronomy/Astrophysics, Biology/Botany/Zoology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Classical Studies, Computer Science, English

8:30 a.m.: Candidate processional begins
9 a.m.: Ceremony begins
11 a.m.: Ceremony ends

All Master’s Degrees and Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics, Foreign Languages & Literatures, Geography/Meteorology, Geology, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, International Studies, Jewish Studies, Linguistics, Marine Sciences, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Spanish and Portuguese Studies

1:30 p.m.: Candidate processional begins
2 p.m.: Ceremony begins
4 p.m.: Ceremony ends

Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminology, Microbiology and Cell Science, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics/Data Science, Sustainability Studies, Women’s Studies

6:30 p.m.: Candidate processional begins
7 p.m.: Ceremony begins

  • The processional begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled ceremony. Due to the number of individuals who will be on campus, graduates should plan accordingly, as travel time may be increased.
  • Graduates will be recognized by name as they cross the stage.
  • Each graduate will have a photo taken while crossing the stage. Photo proofs will be sent to the address provided on the name card included with the graduate’s regalia order.
  • These ceremonies celebrate bachelor’s and master’s graduates only; doctoral candidates are not included.
  • Tickets are not required.
